Welcome to BushLawyer

Bush Lawyer is a New Zealand based legal support service for those charged with cannabis offences under the Misuse of Drugs Act or by their workplace.

Do not plead Guilty to unjust laws like the Misuse of Drugs Act 1975.

This website is dedicated to helping defendants challenge cannabis charges in court or otherwise. Standing up to these unjust laws will not only improve the chances of a favourable verdict, but will also add to the growing tide of support for reforming New Zealand's cannabis laws.

Check out this summary of how to beat a cannabis charge.

Clog the courts and help overturn prohibition!

How to use this site

This site is a wiki, similar to wikipedia. You can edit your own pages once you have registered for an account. Everyone else can also edit your pages and you can look at the history to see what they have done. This creates an accountable transparent mode of collaborative editing by which everyone can benefit from the knowledge of everyone else. Create your case by clicking the edit tab above and add your name to the section labeled cases below surrounded by two square brackets on either side. Indicate the changes you have made in the field labeled summary and then click the save page button. You should now see your name in red on the main page, click on your name and you will be taken to the edit screen of a new blank page where you can write down your story. Once you have created your page others will be able to make changes, but you can see what they have done by clicking on the history tab above. By working together our whole community can build the most useful dossiers of every cannabis case prosecuted in New Zealand so we can all learn from the collective experience of prohibition. If you want to ask questions or discuss reasons for particular edits you can click on the discussion tab above any page.
